Tawan Wattuya (b. 1973) received his art education at Silapakorn University. He is perhaps most well known for his large scale and expressive watercolour paintings. His works often deal with societal or political issues as an outside viewer looking in. Many of his subjects are found on society's borders, and Tawan provides a critical and provocative view. Watercolours require rapid movements, and there is an unpredictability and rawness to his works that make them edgy. His works have been exhibited extensively internationally. The painting below may be interpreted in many ways.
