Note: This is a series of exquisitely painted tiles from the time of Doi Moi in Vietnam when the country just started to open up. They show the simplicity, quietness and poverty of Hanoi at this historically important point in time. The nine tiles seem to constitute three horizontal series of Hanoi scenes.
