Wang Dajun was born in 1958 in Chongqing and graduated in 1983 from the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts where he now teaches. He pays particular attention to details and masters the techniques as many of China's younger painters. What makes him stand out is the humour one can find in his works. As in the juxtaposition of young children and the urban Chinese society, or in the Virtual Reality painting which is almost photographic in its realism. He has exhibited frequently in China and also in United Kingdom (1983), Germany (2001), Hong Kong (2002), France (2003) and Korea (2004).
